through culture."

A year after the earthquake of 27 February the Cultural Center of Spain invited to reflect on this event as an exercise of recovery and consolidation of memory. Re-build from the culture is also expressed through its language, the facts that form part of a country and become part of history.

Thus, the Center Culture of Spain opens March 8 at 19:30 hrs., The exhibition of serigraphs "February 27", created by Alejandro 'Mono' González, audiovisual sample José Luis Torres Leiva, Three weeks later, a tribute to the visual artist Angélica Pérez Germain - disappeared in the earthquake - with the display of visual recording of their performance held at the Cultural Center of Spain, in 2008, and also joined the initiative of the National Council of Culture and Arts in the distribution of postcards made by renowned illustrators Chile, during the quake, which will be offered to the public that day, during the event.

The opening will be attended by the creators, the family of Angel Perez, authorities of the National Council for Culture and the Arts and the National Museum of Fine Arts.

Exhibition x70 18 serigraphs of 1.10 mts., Created by Alejandro 'Mono' González, an outstanding painter, illustrator and Chilean muralist. These prints were designed from a street graphic workshop, conducted by the Cultural Center of Spain in the areas of Curanipe and Pelluhue in the region of Maule, a month after the earthquake and tsunami that devastated the area. The workshop led to the publication February 27, published by the CCE and Dry Dog Publishers, authored by Alejandro "Mono" Gonzalez, who was inspired by the experiences of the affected villagers who participated in the workshop to create the collection of works graphics that are now exhibited as a testimony and tribute to that experience.

The book is available for consultation by the public in the Multimedia Cultural Center of Spain.

Three weeks later, is a visual meditation on the landscape after a disaster. Recorded for 8 days in the area most affected by the earthquake in February 2010, in Chile, takes a journey that crosses subjectively all the images and sounds experienced during that period.

Angélica Pérez Germain, who disappeared in the tsunami Juan Fernandez, February 27, 2010, gave a performance presented at the Cultural Center of Spain, within the context of the exhibition "Nihonchiri. The Tea Route "in July 2008. This tribute to his memory displays the audiovisual record of creation developed by Angelica for that sample.
